Public Schools...

MCS has consistently ranked among the top 15 percent of public school systems nationally for the past several years. The system features seven elementary schools, one middle school with a sixth-grade annex (a school within a school), one high school and one alternative education center.



The mission of the DeKalb County School System is to guarantee that each learner develops individual potential and becomes a contributing citizen.

Their GOALS

  1. To raise standards and increase academic achievement in elementary schools through implementation of the adopted PreK-5 reading program and ongoing training for teachers.
  2. To raise standards and increase academic achievement in middle schools through Middle School Reform initiatives.
  3. To raise standards and increase academic achievement in high schools through High Schools That Work.
  4. To increase customer satisfaction by training all employees in customer service.
  5. To expand program offerings that promote diversity and inclusion throughout the school system



The Cobb County School District is the second largest school system in Georgia and among the largest in the United States, with a current enrollment of 104,656. Its student population grows by nearly 2,000 each year, and with more than 13,800 full-time employees, nearly 8,400 of whom are classroom teachers and other certified personnel, the School District is the largest employer in the county.



Paulding County School System

The motto of the Paulding County School District is "The Paulding County School District Proudly Serves More Than 23,500 Students and Their Families With Our Focus On Learning." This motto calls us to step to the forefront in setting high standards and expectations and meeting the accountability required to ensure school improvement and increased student achievement. The hopes and dreams of more than 23,500 students depend on Paulding County's continuous self-evaluation to provide the highest quality education possible for our youth. If it can be done anywhere, it can and will be done in our school system.



 


Bartow County is located in the foothills of Northwest Georgia's Appalachian Mountains. About 50 miles northwest of Atlanta, Bartow County lies along the I-75 corridor which has brought growth and prosperity to the area.
